🎧 New Episode with Jeremy Weber

🎧New podcast episode This week we are joined by Jeremy Weber, a prominent personal brand strategist and a Founding Member of the Brand Builders Group. I first met Jeremy about 6 months ago when I decided to hire BBG to help with the newsletter and the launch of the podcast. My partner at Metros Capital, John, a prolific reader and auto-didact, had come across BBG in a podcast and thought we should give them a shot.

I’m so glad he made the recommendation because what has come out of this work has been instrumental. Over the course of 4 full days late last year, Jeremy took us through an incredibly rigorous and well-designed process that challenges would-be messengers, like myself, to get really serious and clear about what it is they plan to create and share and why. The core of the BBG process is essentially a giant exercise in self-examination. It’s not “hey, we’ll help you go viral and get more followers” but rather “who are you most powerfully positioned to help and why?”

I was blown away by the integrity of the process and I wanted to have Jeremy on the show to learn more about where it all came from. I also wanted to dive deeper into this whole new world of personal brands. This has to be the most exciting cultural development in the world today and maybe even in history. Think about what’s possible today. With just a phone, tablet or computer and an internet connection, you can learn anything, mostly for free, from the world’s most inspiring individuals. There’s been an explosion of creative activity and it’s all just out there in the world and available. As you’ll see in this fascinating episode, people like Jeremy and his colleagues at BBG are playing a critical role in this cultural movement by bringing a process with some philosophical and moral rigor to the table.

As always, hope you enjoy!
